Welcome to Summit of Peace’s Youth page!

Our High School Youth activities emphasize growing in understanding how our faith in Christ impacts our lives in the world, learning how each member of the church is a vital part of the body of Christ with distinct gifts that they have been given by God our Father, and finding joy in the day to day service, fun and fellowship into which we have been called.

The Youth elect officers that in turn provide the leadership for the group.  Servant opportunities are a vital part of our over all program.  We look for opportunities at home and away to get outside of our comfort zone and live lives bigger than ourselves.  We spend time together on Sunday mornings in Bible Class, every other Sunday evening in Bible Study and fellowship and on a monthly basis plan an activity that we can simply go and have a great time doing.

Junior Youth:

In the sixth through eighth grades the youth at Summit begin their ‘confirmation’ studies.  That is they spend extra time in Bible Study and take time to examine what it means when we say we are Lutheran.  The Ten Commandments, the Apostle’s Creed, the Lord’s Prayer, the Sacrament of the Altar, the Sacrament of Baptism, and the Office of Keys are studied in detail and in light of Holy Scripture.  In addition we look for ways to bring the kids and their families together in fun fellowship activities and in opportunities to Serve the community and one another.
